Tennis Finest Surprise
The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Finest Surprise offers fans the chance to win a special grand prize, latest model of Audi Q7 ( Ice Silver). Tickets are priced at Dhs500 and are on sale at the Tennis Village located at the at south end of the stadium.
Ball Count
Look out for a brand new car filled with tennis balls. Correctly guess how many balls are inside and you could drive Volkswagen Tiguan car home. Entry tickets cost Dhs10. The balls inside the car will be counted on the morning after the Men's final.
Bounce-a-thon
The annual Dubai Tennis Championship Bounce-a-thon has been an overwhelming success over the past four years and has helped to raise funds for the Dubai Duty Free Foundation. The Bounce-a-thon involves over 100 Dubai Tennis Championships ball kids bouncing tennis balls for more than an hour to raise funds for the cause. The Dubai Duty Free Foundation was launched in 2004 and was established under the auspices of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Department of Civil Aviation.
Dugas Kid's Day
The WTA Dugas Kids Day will be held on Tuesday 26th February and the ATP Dugas Kids Day will be held on the opening day of the Men’s tournament on Monday 3rd March. Almost 2,000 children from over 30 Schools in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi will attend the popular events.
Local tennis coaches and ball kids will be joined by two professional players from the ATP or WTA tour to put on a tennis show for the kids. Audience participation plays a big part in the show with children from each school getting a chance to take part in the on-court activities and rub shoulders with the tennis superstars.
Tennis Emirates Clinics
20 top tennis players under the age of 16, from across the UAE take part in the clinics which are held on Wednesday 27th February and Tuesday 4th March. Participants also have the chance to meet and play against star players.
The clinics are part of Tennis Emirates long-term plan to raise the love of the game at the grass roots level. The events consist of basic warm-ups and stretching drills, ball control and accuracy and stroke play. Tennis professionals from the ATP and WTA will participate in both days as well as various tennis coaches from UAE Tennis Federations.
The Lacoste Tennis Clinic
The Lacoste Tennis Clinic will be held during the second week of the Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships, on Wednesday 5th March. The Lacoste Clinic will be for special needs children. During the ATP Men's event, nearly 30 children from the Dubai Centre for Special Needs, the Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre and Al Noor are specially invited by Lacoste to the Kid's Day. The children are entertained for an hour of tennis fun with ATP Tennis stars and local tennis coaches.
